I hear it all the time. "I just need more confidence...."As though confidence is thing tangible thing out there that can be bought!
I work with a lot of my clients on confidence, regularly. The best thing I can tell you is that confidence is earned after action, not something that just randomly appears or disappears. It comes from practice, or from knowing your a beginner (and that that's OK!) It comes from knowing. Knowing what you know and knowing what you don't.
From there confidence will exude. From that knowledge you will have confidence. Doesn't matter if you're good at what you're about to try or not. Which is why some people seem to have confidence even when it seems impossible.
It's practice. Try something. Try again. Try again. And soon enough, you know enough about it to have confidence. Don't have the space to try it? Great. Most of us are in that same boat, so be confident in that you have plenty to learn on that topic. Practice being new, practice asking for help, and pretty soon you will do it with confidence, too. See it's a result and not a given.
Try it for yourself, build the muscle, because I guarantee that confidence looks good on you!
